One of my favorite places to paint is along the Big Sur coast. I have painted here many times and it never gets boring because of the various weather changes sometimes almost dream like in atmosphere. Originally I painted a Plein Air painting on location. Inspired from the original painting I went on to paint the larger studio painting. In this painting I have drawn upon the etherial light filtering through the clouds into the water and cliffs below. It was displayed at the Santa Cruz County Fair in September 2024,  and was honored with a first place award.  Title: Quiet Cove View from Above, Big Sur. 26" x 49" before frame.
